As Adam Engst reported yesterday at TidBITS, former Take Control author Charles Edge has died. We’re very sorry to hear this news. I have no details about what happened beyond what Adam said, but Charles was a big name in the Apple world, and he will be missed.
I met Charles many years ago at an Apple-related conference, and although his work with Take Control Books began and ended before I took over in 2017, I often referred to things he’d written. In fact, just a couple of days ago, I was looking up how to do something on a Mac server and I found an article Charles had written on that topic.
We’ll always remember Charles for his upbeat personality as well as his technical expertise.
