Upgrade season is officially here. This week we released preliminary versions of Take Control of Ventura and Take Control of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. Next week, we’ll be releasing updates to Take Control of Calendar and Reminders and Take Control of Securing Your Mac. And many more are in the queue for after that. At the very least, I hope to get updated versions of Take Control of 1Password and Take Control of Your Passwords out in September, but there are perhaps a dozen more titles that still need updates after that.
But even more exciting than that: it’s back-to-school week. First quiet day here in a long time. Of course, the kids have Monday off because it’s a holiday but still. I have half a chance of actually being productive for large portions of the next 10 months.
Next week: Apple’s annual iPhone event, and perhaps new Apple Watch models and something something AR/VR something something.
