This week we released a minor update to Take Control of Backing Up Your Mac, addressing some changes in recent Monterey versions and better explaining the process for using a Mac as a Time Machine server. As usual, this update was free to anyone who already owned the fourth edition of the book, and an inexpensive upgrade for people who owned earlier editions!
Work continues on more updates, as well as entirely new books. Next week at WWDC, Apple will show us all what’s coming in this fall’s versions of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS…and possibly even a rumored realityOS. There may also be hardware announcements. We will be watching all this with great interest, as Apple’s annual software updates inevitably mean lots of new and updated books. I expect several of us authors will have quite busy summers writing about all the new stuff.
