This week we released the third edition of Jeff Carlson’s Take Control of Your Digital Photos. Congratulations to Jeff!
Our upcoming books Take Control of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 and Take Control of Sonoma are both making their way through the editing process. It’s going a bit slower than we’d hoped, but progress is occurring, and with luck, we’ll be able to ship both books next week. Meanwhile, updated manuscripts for other books are appearing on my desk with shocking frequency, which means we’ll be ahead of the curve this year on updates to support the new operating systems. The exact timing is in flux, but it’s safe to say that both September and October will be busy months for us.
Today FastSpring told me that the earliest they might be able to fix the Apple Pay bug I described last week is the end of September (but no guarantees). This is beyond absurd, and I’m trying to figure out how I can squeeze the time to switch to another payment processor into my already overflowing schedule. UGH.
School starts for one of my kids on Tuesday (just half a day) and for both full-time on Wednesday. I cannot overstate how eagerly I am looking forward to that.
In the meantime, I have to do some yard work, finish editing a couple of manuscripts, get started on the next batch of my own revisions, and do about 99 other super urgent things while trying in vain to hold onto my last thread of sanity. Wish me luck.
